I applied to a real college yesterday for the first time EVER and by "real", I mean a university. A university is kind of a big deal having been at BC for ohh about 5 years now. It's completely scary, considering the fact that I'm not very scholarly, but know that it will get me to where I want to be. I applied to Northridge to be apart of their nutrition program and eventually become a certified dietitian. AH! I'm scared. I find out in 4 weeks if I am accepted, and 6 months if I am actually going (depending on the outcome of Ryan's CHP academy acceptance)... Soooo pray for me=)

Such a nice weekend=)
It's my absolute favorite weather. Halloween went so well! I spent the 30th at my best friend's house and partied until 4 in the mornin'... Hey, I figure it's only once a year, so I like to soak it up. It was SUCH a good night (work the next day= not so much fun)! We even got a surprise visit from my super good friend Sarah Ox! LOVE HER. She made my night because I never get to see her anymore... Definitely a good time=)

gluten free for life.

So, I'm not much of a "blogger", but I'm going to attempt it.

I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease on June 12 of this year. At the time I was just so grateful to have finally been diagnosed with something after being sick for months, that I didn't really think of how it would change my life. Celiac is an autoimmune disease that basically destroys my small intestine when I eat gluten. My body sees gluten as an enemy and when I eat it, I get very sick and uncomfortable for a couple weeks, or until it gets out of my system (You can google it for a more in depth description). I honestly didn't think it would be a big deal... so what, I can't eat wheat, barley or rye, easy, right? Nooo. I have to read labels on EVERYTHING I eat and apparently wheat can be secretly disguised under many different names. I can't trust restaurants, oh because did I mention cross-contamination? Yeah, I'm THAT sensitive. I got really sick at the beach just because I ate french fries that had been fried in oil that had been contaminated by other breaded foods. Oh! The best part is when I get sick, I have to back track and figure out what exactly made me sick, so hopefully it doesn't happen again. It's incredibly frustrating.

Some people think that it's "all in your head", trust me, it's not. It's not something to be taken lightly either. It's very serious... and lame.

I believe that everything happens for a reason and someday I hope that I can figure out just exactly what the reason for this is...

Okay. Enough bitching, I mean venting, for now...
I had a good day=) I met up with an old friend, which was much needed... I missed her! Later I went to school and turned in a five page paper I had been working on all week. I love completing/turning in an assignment... So much weight lifted off my shoulders! Anyway...bye bye.
